- Mr. Koczot
- A middle school teacher in Newport, North Carolina, Mr. Koczot has decided to give his students and parents/guardians a chance to communicate, learn, and receive hints as to upcoming events in an on-line Blog. (Maybe some will even start a Blog of their own)? I hope to have the current 6th grade class actively involved with technology, the web, pod casting, news/media, blogging, face booking, smartboard use, and the newest resource, which is teleconferencing by the end of the 2011-12 school year.

A great big thank you to CNN. Because of you, our students are more interested and knowledgeable in world and national events. As a reading teacher, I see the results. After our students view your show, their curiosity is peeked. As a result, many of them follow-up on stories by reading newspapers or researching on the internet. Thanks for keeping our kids engaged!

Hello to all at Student News - I am a former student of Mr. Koczot's, and let me tell you that because of you, (and him), I am more into the news and aware of world events than ever before. It's great that you put out a show for students. THANKS!

This shoutout goes to all of the CNN staff. Thank you for taking ten minutes out of our social studies class and letting us kinda relax. I enjoy Student News. I am more aware of the events going on in the world.
